BOTOX® Cosmetic

Popular for the treatment of crow's feet, laugh lines, wrinkles, age lines, frown lines, and droopiness around the eyes, as well as excessive sweating and muscle spasms, BOTOX® Cosmetic is a safe and effective injectable that can be administered in minutes. The injectable - a Botilinum toxin - serves to inhibit the nerve impulses below the skin responsible for lines and skin creases. Because the treatment is administered non-invasively directly below the skin, normal muscle movement and control is unaffected, and there is no recovery time associated with the procedure.

By blocking nerve impulses to the superficial muscles directly beneath the skin, BOTOX® Cosmetic can reduce or eliminate the appearance of lines and wrinkles in the affected area for up to 6 months, at which point further treatment can be sought to maintain your appearance. More than 11 million people have undergone BOTOX® treatment, and it is approved by the FDA for the temporary treatment of glabellar lines on the face. Restylane®

Unlike BOTOX® treatment, which is an injectable neuro-toxin that temporarily paralyzes the muscles directly beneath the skin, Restylane® is dermal filler, and is designed to provide volume and fullness. Rather than contracting the muscles to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles, Restylane® fills in laugh lines, wrinkles, age lines, and hollow areas with filler material. Because of this, Restylane® if often a better option for individuals seeking a more plump or enhanced appearance.

Made from a non-animal hyaluronic acid (hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring element in the body), Restylane® is harmlessly absorbed into the body over a period of 3 to 6 months. Once the absorption process is complete, the patient may wish to once again undergo treatment to maintain his or her desired look. The areas of the face that Restylane® is most effective at treating include the skin immediately above the upper lip, the corners of the mouth, the lower part of the jaw, and the lower cheeks.

Radiesse®

Wrinkles, age lines, a loss of skin elasticity, and tissue pockets are all caused by a breakdown in the body's natural collagen. Radiesse® is a unique treatment option in that it promotes collagen production. As a result, the benefits of Radiesse® are long-term, often lasting up to a year or longer in some patients. Despite the fact that collagen production is stimulated over time, results are still visible immediately thanks to the effects of the dermal filler. As the filler is harmlessly absorbed into the body, collagenesis begins to take place and provide natural results.

Juvéderm®

Juvéderm® injectable dermal filler replaces the body's natural hyaluronic acid. By binding and absorbing water molecules beneath the skin, Juvéderm® increases volume, thus resulting in a smoother skin complexion. By filling in wrinkles, laugh lines, age lines, and creases around the mouth and nose, Juvéderm® can make an individual appear years younger.

Juvéderm® is unique among HA fillers: the treatment is extremely comfortable, as the filler is infused with a natural anesthetic known as lidocaine for the benefit of the patient, and a unique manufacturing process utilizing Hylacross™ technology makes Juvéderm® the only smooth-consistency HA gel and filler to be approved by the FDA for treatment of up to one year.
