Cheek Enhancement from Cosmetic Surgery Baltimore

Cheek enhancement has become a real hot topic of late. Cheek highlights generally give a very youthful appearance. There are several different ways to go about enhancing your cheeks. If you are lucky enough to already have beautiful cheeks, good make-up techniques are all you need. If you used to have nice cheeks and they seem to have disappeared in recent years you could probably get the job done without surgery. This is the popular “liquid facelift” route. Simply put, a variety of different “filler” are carefully injected deeply beneath the skin in order to build up the support over your cheeks. Hyaluronic acid products such as Restylane, Perlane and Juvederm are probably the most popular. The are very safe fillers that are manufactured so that it is very rare to have any allergic reaction. The procedure is done in the office after just a topical anesthetic is applied. Bruising and swelling are mild if at all and you should be able to resume normal activity the next day. Sculptra is also a very good product. It lasts much longer (2-5 years) but is a more gradual process which takes a few months to achieve. Also very safe, it is performed the same way. Finally, if your cheek just never really developed, andyou have a “flatness” to your cheeks, I think that cheek implants are the best solution. Although it is surgery, it is very safe and really does the job. It is a short outpatient procedure but plan on having some swelling for about 2 weeks.
